We love to celebrate birthdays in class. Please contact me prior to your child's birthday to discuss a day and what you would like to send in as a treat. Please remember that all treats must be pre-packaged and NUT Free. Thank you!!
Just as a reminder, all tests and graded assignments will go home on Friday afternoon. Please review, sign, and return them on Monday. If the signed material is not returned by Wednesday, it will count as a missing homework assigment. Thank you!
If your child is absent for any reason from school, please make sure that you send in a written note explaining their absence when they return. All of their assignments and missed work will be posted in Google Classroom. Thank you!

This week, we will begin to learn about Nouns. We will learn about common, proper, singular and plural nouns.
We will not have a Vocabulary/Spelling Test this week.
In Literature, we will have begun our new novel The Lemonade War. This book focuses on the mending of a silbing relationship that is based around a lemonade sale. So far, we are really enjoying the story. All of the comprehension questions for these chapters can be found in Google Classroom.
Social Studies will continue with a focus on the First Americans who traveled from Asia to New York We will learn about the "land bridge" that was used to travel to North America. In addition, we will learn about the Iroquios and Algonquin Native American groups. This will be Chapter 2 in our Social Studies Textbook.
