Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  My name is Mrs. Gardino and this year I will be teaching 5th grade ELA, Social Studies and Religion.  Additionally I will be teaching ELA for grades 6-8.  

About Me:  This is my 15th year teaching and my 2nd at SEAS.  I am so very proud to be part of this beautiful and vibrant Catholic School Community.  I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Molloy University and have spent 10 of my 15 years teaching in the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  I am a product of Catholic education having graduated from St. Martin of Tours in Amityville, The Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood, and Molloy University.  I am blessed with a beautiful family and wonderful friends.  When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, cooking, photography, and exploring new places.

We have been hard at work in 5th grade doing a novel study with 'Esperanza Rising' and grammar.  In religion we are discussing creation and how God has ordered and adorned everything he has created to make our world beautiful.  In social studies we are talking about geography, map skills, time zones, and latitude and longitude. We are looking forward to our upcoming school mass, Columbus/Indigenous People's Day and of course Halloween!
