Welcome to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Regional School Nursery Program. Our progam has been designed especially for the developing 3 and 4 year old student. Each student will have the experience of learning through structured playtime, instuctional one-on-one learning, small group interaction, and whole group instruction.
Our second week together begins with the story text, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff.
The students will listen to the story, talk about their favorite part of the read, and complete activities related to the theme of the text. Our Monday class will participate in PE with Mr. Larke.
The theme of the upcoming week will be "All About Apples". Our students will have the chance to observe apples, and sort apples according to size and color. We will learn the apple has a protective covering. New vocabulary will be introduced as we disect the fruit. We learn that God made apples very special and they carry a star inside each one. The students will have the opportunity to make apple prints with paint. We hope to cook apples and notice how apples can be made into apple sauce.
Every child is a gift from God. Each student is working very hard to complete a self-portrait. We are discussing our facial features and how we use them to help us learn. They will be on display outside our classroom.
We Look Forward to a Week of Fun Learning.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cappiello
