 Dear Families,

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

On Tuesday we learned our new letter of the week, M.  The boys and girls thought of 50 words for our word list!  They thought of some really great words this week.

In the afternoon,  the class used different shaped pieces of construction paper to make snowflakes.  They each look different, just like real snowflakes!

Today we learned our first shape of the week, the circle!  Our poem for a circle is:

We are still working on the number 6 this week.

Today they had library and read a story about finding the gingerbread man.  They had to draw their own gingerbread man after the story.  They had so much fun today!

This afternoon we had another STEAM challenge with the 6th graders.  They had to build a snowman using marshmallows and toothpicks. The goal was to make the tallest snowman.  The winner was group 5 at 9 1/4 inches tall!  Benny and Ana were in that group. Check back soon for pictures!
